"Cause I’ve been badI’ve lied, cheated, stolen, and been ungrateful for what I hadAnd I’m afraid habits rule my waking life.” I Never, Rilo Kiley

Flighty Georgina Barish (Lena Headey) leaves her fiance, aspiring filmmaker Henry Jones (James Franco), and returns to England to visit her estranged father, the wealthy Christopher Barish (Patrick Stewart), only to find him engaged to a much younger woman, the beautiful and enigmatic Elena (Lea Seydoux). It’s a battle of wits as Georgina and Elena find themselves competing for the attentions of the wealthy Mr. Barish. As Georgina tries to figure out Elena’s true intentions, Henry searches her out and tries to win her back. She will marry him, she says, but only if he helps reveal Elena’s schemes by seducing her and proving her infidelity to Christopher.
But things don’t go to plan and Georgina finds that it’s her own insecurities driving her destructive behavior and that she really should be questioning her own intentions and not those of the woman her father loves.
